2009 Hosta of the year
'Earth Angel' (H. Hansen/Shady Oaks Nursery, 2002) - (Sport of 'Blue Angel') - Giant, (30" X 68" or larger) 'Earth Angel', one of the largest variegated hostas, has large heart-shaped blue-green leaves and a wide yellow border that becomes creamy-white in summer. It produces tall, straight scapes of large near-white flowers in late June and July that demand attention. Like it's award winning parent, in shade or part sun, this outstanding hosta reliability makes an impressive specimen mound relatively quickly in all parts of the country.
Mukdenia rossii 'Crimson Fans'
'Crimson Fans' has maple-like leaves which emerge a mid green then age to a bronze green and are finally splashed with bright red by summer. The foliage then remains red summer through fall, making this a wonderful ground cover and accent plant.
